Video Warrior Lesarion… Licensed?! (Yes, I’m still alive!)

First things first, I want to reiterate that yes, I’m still alive. I know I haven’t posted anything in over a year, but when real life has been beating you senseless, you have to step aside and rest… which is what I’ve been doing. (It’s not COVID-19 related, though. That’s all I’ll say about that.)

But now, the news…

Looks like news from Discotek Media has come out that Video Warrior Lesarion will finally be released on SD-BD in the near future. This means that the three subbed videos will have be taken down and any production (if any) would have to cease.

It’s a shame, too. I would have been nice to have continued had life hadn’t gotten in the way.

A big thanks go to Afternoon Teasan, doanobu, Ametuchi, Kiseki 83, Auron_Kenobi, and (biggest of all) to Nanto for collaborating on these three episodes we’ve worked on together. This would never have been possible if we all hadn’t worked together to bring this gem into the spotlight.

Be sure to purchase Laserion when it’s finally released!

Video Warrior Laserion: 01-03

Depending on what part of the world you’re on, this could be the final release of 2017 or the first release of 2018. Nevertheless, Episodes 01, 02 and 03 of Video Warrior Laserion, a joint project with The Skaro Hunting Society, has been released!

So many people were involved in improving these videos exponentially. All names were listed on Nanto’s post, but I’ll list them there as well. Thanks to Kiseki 83 for the initial translation scripts. Also, thanks to Afternoon Teasan, doanobu and the almighty Ametuchi! Many thanks to Pundercracker of Megabeast Empire and HeatMetal, who has worked with Midnight Crew Fansubs and Over-Time, for QC passes on the episodes as well. Auron_Kenobi, thank you as well.

Also, a big thanks to Nanto for helping with this project! It’s an honor working with you on another fansub project, and I hope this continues for a very long time.

Video Warrior Laserion: 01

Video Warror Laserion

I wanted to add this before 2016, but I was away at the time.  Anyway, this is the final release of 2015.  Ladies and gentlemen, I proudly present a new joint project with “The Skaro Hunting Society“… the 1984 super robot show, “Video Warrior Laserion!

For me, my first instance of seeing this show was from watching its Spanish dub… titled “El Super Laser”.  From what I had seen, I did like the show.  I wish I could see more, but only the first 26 episodes of “El Super Laser” could be found on the internet with a Spanish dub.  (This show was also dubbed in Italian and Tagalog as well as Spanish.

Imagine a computer nerd named Takeshi (Not the same Takeshi from UFO Senshi Dai Apolon) with a girlfriend named Olivia who shares in his same hobby of virtual reality robot games.  Now, imagine a bizarre sci-fi style catalyst that turns that computerized robot into an actual robot which is used by Takeshi to fight evil from the Moon!  Crazy stuff, but it works!

This was also the last super robot show credited to “Saburo Yatsude” as its creator (to my knowledge).

Many thanks to Kiseki 83 (who has been helping me with Uchuu Majin Daikengo) for translating Laserion.  Also, I could use an assistant translator for Laserion so that Kiseki 83 could use more help on translating Laserion.  Contact me if you’re interested.

Many thanks to Nanto for joining forces once again as editor.  (I’m timing and providing Quality Checking as well.)
